Given:-

  • Mass of bullet,m = 60 g

  • Kinetic energy,K.E. = 300 J

To be calculated:-

Calculate the velocity ( v ) of the bullet .

Formula used:-

Kinetic energy = 1/2 × m × v²

Solution:-

We will convert 60 grams into kilograms,

60 g

= 60/1000

= 0.06 kg

Now,

Kinetic energy = 300 J [ Given ]

⇒ 1/2 × m × v² = 300 J

★ Substituting the values in the above formula,we get:

⇒ 1/2 × 0.06 × v² = 300

⇒ 0.03 × v² = 300

⇒ v² = 300/0.03

⇒ v² = 30000/3

⇒ v² = 10000

⇒ v = √10000

⇒ v = 100 m/s

Thus,the velocity of bullet is 100 m/s.
