(Mass)bullet=A

(Velocity)bullet=B 

(Mass)block=C

(Velocity)block=0 

Momentum before impact = Momentum after impact

AB+0=(A+C)(v)system

(v)system=A+CAB

The velocity of the system (v)system=A+CAB
