solution : here initial speed, u = 254 3/11 mi/h

final speed, v = 315 5/22 mi/h

time, t = 1 hr

using formula, v = u + at

⇒315 5/22 = 254 3/11 + a × 1

⇒6935/22 - 2797/11 = a

⇒a = (6935 - 5594)/22 = 1341/22

now using formula, s = ut + 1/2 at²

= 254 3/11 × 1 + 1/2 × 1341/22 × 1²

= 254/11 + 1341/44

= (254 × 4 + 1341)/44

= 2357/44

= 53 23/44 miles

Therefore 53 23/44 miles required by the train to travel more in 1 hour.
