Using the Kinematic Eq. ,
v^2 - u^2 =2 a s
(O)^2 - (16)^2 = 2 (a) ( 0.4)
*Since the bullet comes to rest V=o m/s*

-256 = 0.8 × a
a= -320 m/s^2 ....... (1)

Now using kinematic eq.
v =u + at
0 = 16 + (-320) (t).........from (1)
t = 0.05 sec
