      Mass of bullet, m₁= 10 g

      Mass of ice, m₂= 5kg

                               = 5000 g

Initial velocity of m₁= 300 m/s

Initial velocity of m₂ = 0 (at rest)

We know that, for perfectly inelastic collision, the final common velocity is given by;-

            v = m₁u₁ + m₂u₂ / m₁ + m₂

Putting the given values in the formula, we get;-

             v = 10 × 300 + 5000 × 0/ 5000 + 10

             v = 3000/ 5010

             v = 0.6 m/s

             v = 60 cm/s
