Answer:

Acceleration(a) =0. 5 m/sec^2 , option (c)

Explanation:

Given that,

u (initial velocity) = 18 km/h , v (Final velocity) = 36 km/hr,

t (Time) = 10 second

To convert km/hr to m/sec we must multiply the value by 5/18

u = 18 x 5/18

u = 5m/sec

v = 36 x 5/18

v = 10 m/sec

First equation of motion,

v=u+at

10 = 5 + 10a

Transpose 5 to L.H.S

10-5 = 10 a

5 = 10 a

Transpose 10 to L.H.S

5/10 =a

0.5 = a

Units of acceleration = m/sec^2

So,

∴ Acceleration(a) = 0.5 m/sec^2

36km/h=10m/s =v
18km/h=5m/s. =u
Time=10 seconds

a=v-u/t
=10-5/10
=5/10=0.5m/s^2

C) is the correct option
