Correct Question :

A bus accelerates at 1ms¯² from an initial velocity of 4ms¯¹ for 10 seconds, then distance moved in that time will be ?

Solution :

Given initial velocity (u) = 1 ms¯¹

Given rate of acceleration (a) = 4ms¯²

Time taken (t) = 10 seconds

Some important equations of motion are :

◾v = u + at

◾S = ut+1/2at²

◾2as = v ² - u ²

Now by using, second equation of motion i.e

S=ut+1/2at²

S=4×10 + 1/2×1×10²

S=40 + 1/2×100

S=40 +50

S= 90 m

Therefore, correct option is (a) 90m.

✰ Correct Question ✰

⋄ A bus accelerates at 1m/s² from an initial velocity of 4m/s for 10 s .What will be the distance moved by bus in that time?

_______________________________

❍Given:-

⋄ Acceleration of bus (a) =1m/s²

⋄ Initial velocity (u) =4m/s

⋄ Time taken (t) =10s

_______________________________

❍ To Find :-

⋄ Distance (s) covered by bus .

_______________________________

❍ Solution :-

By using 2nd equation of motion

⋄ s=ut+1/2at² ⋄

➧s=4×10+1/2×1×10×10

➧ s=40+50

➧ s=90m

∴The distance covered by bus is 90m.
