Solution :

Given:

✏ Initial speed of bus = 0

✏ Final speed of bus = 75kmph

✏ Time interval = 20s

To Find:

✏ Acceleration of bus

Formula:

✏ First equation of kinematics is given by

 \star \:  \underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \sf{ \pink{ \large{v = u + at}}}}}} \:  \star

Terms indication:

✏ v denotes final speed

✏ u denotes initial speed

✏ a denotes acceleration

✏ t denotes time interval

Conversation:

✏ 75kmph = 20.83mps

Calculation:

 \implies \sf \: 20.83 = 0 +( a \times 20) \\  \\  \implies \sf \: 20.83 = 20a \\  \\  \implies \underline{ \boxed{ \bold{ \sf{ \purple{ \large{a = 1.04 \: m {s}^{ - 2}}}}}}} \:  \gray{ \bigstar}

Additional information:

  • Acceleration, displacement and velocity are vector quantities.
  • Distance and speed are scalar quantities.

  \huge \mathtt{ \fbox{Solution :)}}

Given ,

  • Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s
  • Final velocity (v) = 75 km/hr or 20.8 m/s
  • Time (t) = 20 sec

We know that , the rate of change of velocity of body is called acceleration of the body

  \mathtt{ \large \fbox{Acceleration  \: (a)=  \frac{v - u}{t} }}

Thus ,

a = (20.8 - 0)/20

a = 208/20

a = 1.4 m/s²

Hence , the acceleration of the body is 1.04 m/s²
