arrived 1 hour 30 min earlier to the bus. If city X and Y were 300 km apart, find the average speed of the car.

Speed of bus is 60 km/hr and speed of car is 80 km/hr

Since they are travelling in opposite direction their relative speed will be

(60+80)=140 km/hr

To meet or cross each other they will travel for same time which is

T=D/S = 300/140 = 15/7 hr

Distance travelled by the bus

(60*15)/7 = 128.57 km
