Step-by-step explanation:

For first 2hrs it goes 100km .

For Next 1hr(3rd hr) it goes 64km.

And in Next 2hrs it travels 72km.

Total distance travelled = 100+64+72

= 236km

Total time taken to travel = 5hrs

• Speed = Distance/time

S = 236/5

= 47.2km/hr

(OR)

Km/hr should be converted into metres/second.

1km ×5/18 is the constant term to covert km/hr to m/s

100km ×5/18 = 27.7m/s

64km ×5/18 = 17.7m/s

72km×5/18 = 20m/s

Now, totalling distance.

27.7+17.7+20 = 65.4m/s

Total time = 5hrs

Speed = Distance/time

S = 65.4/5

S = 13.08 m/s.

The Average speed = 13.08 m/s or 47.2km/hr
