A bus decrease its speed from 80 km per hour to 60 km per hour . Find the acceleration of the bus

u = 80km/h = 22.23m/s

v = 60km/h = 16.67m/s

a = v-u/t

= 16.67-22.23

= 5.56m/s^2

by first equation of motion,

v = u + at

where,

v = final velocity

u = initial velocity

a = acceleration

t = time

therefore, 60 = 80 + at

-20/t = a

a = -20/t Km/s²

Minus sign shows that the bus is deaccelerating.
