Answer:

-1.1 m/s^2

Explanation:

u= initial velocity= 80 km/h = 22.2 m/s

v= final velocity = 60 km/h = 16.7 m/s

t= time = 5 s

a= acceleration = ?

a=v-u/t

a= 16.7-22.2/5

a= -5.5/5

Therefore, a=-1.1 m/s^2

Given:-

Initial velocity of the bus(u)=80km/h

=>80×5/18

=>200/9 m/s

Final velocity of the bus(v)=60km/h

=>60×5/18

=>150/9 m/s

Time(t)=5s

To find:-

Acceleration of the bus(a)

Solution:-

We know that----

a =  \frac{v - u}{t}

=>a=150/9-200/9/5

=>a= -50/9/5

=>a= -10/9

Thus,acceleration is -10/9 or -1.11 m/s²
