Given :-

★ A bus decreases it's speed from 70 km/h to 60 km/h in 5sec.

Therefore,

u = 70 km/h

v = 60 km/h

t = 5 ses

Converting into m/s

( divide the speed value by 3.6)

Hence,

u = 19.44 m/s

v = 16.67 m/s

To Find :-

★ Acceleration of the bus.

Solution :-

We know,

\blue{\implies \sf a=\dfrac{v-u}{t} \ m/s^{2}}

Substituting the values, we get __

\blue{\implies \sf a=\dfrac{16.67-19.44}{5} \ m/s^{2}}

\blue{\implies \sf a=\dfrac{ - 2.77}{5} \ m/s^{2}}

\blue{\sf \implies a= - 0.554 \ m/s^{2}}

Know more :-

What is acceleration ?

Acceleration is the rate of change of the velocity with respect to time.

Kinds of acceleration :-

There are two kinds of acceleration: average and instantaneous.

SI unit: m/s², m·s−²

Dimension: LT−²
