Accerlation = (0.5 * time^2)/distance

accerlation = (0.5 * 5^2) / 80

accerlation = 12.5 / 80

accerlation = -1.5625 m/s

because acceleration means rate of change in velocity by time and as the decrease in velocity is given 80km/hr and the time is 5 sec

so,80kmhr=80*5/18=-22.2222...m/s
so acceleration =-22.2222.../5
=-4.44444...m/s2

priyanshgoel2004: i think your answer is wrong as the acceleration can not be in plus because it is decreasing
deep1833: ooh. .. yeah you are right sorry for my wrong answer
