Answer:

acceleration =

-0.55 m/s²

Because the acceleration is minus, we can say that the bus was slowing down.

Explanation:

given -

Starting speed (u) = 50 km/h

ending speed (v) = 30 km/h

time taken in speed change = 10 s

to find -

acceleration (a)

solution -

because time is in second we will change speed into m/s, to change km/h to m/s we multiply km/h to 5/18

u = 50 km/h = 50×5/18 m/s

= 250/18 m/s

= 13.88 m/s (almost)

v = 30 km/h = 30×5/18 m/s

= 150/18 m/s

= 8.33 m/s (almost)

a = v-u/t

= (8.33 - 13.88)/10 m/

= -5.55/10 m/

= -0.55 m/ (almost)

hope it helps.
