The definition of acceleration is " The rate of change in velocity per unit time"

So, acceleration a = $\frac{v - u}{t}$

where → final velocity, v = 60km/h = 150/9 m/s

→ initial velocity, u = 80km/h = 200/9 m/s

→ time taken = 5 seconds

a = $\frac{150/9 - 200/9}{5}$ = $\frac{- 50/9}{5}$

= -10/9 m/s²

∴ The acceleration of the bus is -10/9 km/h²
