Answer:

Acceleration of bus =-1m/s^{2}

Explanation:

Initial velocity of bus =90km/hr

                                  = 90 *\frac{5}{18} m/s

                                   = 25m/s

Final velocity of bus = 72km/hr

                                  = 72* \frac{5}{18} m/s

                                  = 20m/s

Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

Acceleration = \frac{Final .velocity - Initial. velocity}{Time}

Acceleration = \frac{20-25}{5}

Acceleration = \frac{-5}{5}

Acceleration = -1m/s^{2}

Therefore, acceleration of bus =-1m/s^{2} and -ve sign indicates retardation of bus.
