Answer:

1 m / sec²

Explanation:

Given :

Initial speed u = 54 km / hr

In term of m / sec :

u = 54 × 5 / 18

= > u = 15 m / sec

Final velocity v = 72 km / hr

In term of m / sec :

v = 72 × 5 / 18

= > v = 20 m / sec

Time t = 5 sec :

We are asked to find acceleration a :

Using first equation of motion :

v = u + a t

= > a = ( v - u ) / t

Putting values here we get :

= > a = ( 20 - 15 ) / 5 m / sec²

= > a = 5 / 5 m / sec²

= > a = 1 m / sec²

Therefore , acceleration of bus is 1 m / sec².
