a bus is moving at a speed of 18 km/h. it is retarding at a rate of 2 m/s^2 and comes to rest finally. find the distance travelled by it.​

Given

Initial velocity=18km/h=18*5/18

=5m/sec

Final velocity= 0

retardation = -2m/sec square

Distance= ?

 {v}^{2}  =  {u }^{2}  + 2as

 {0}^{2}  =  {5}^{2}  + 2( - 2)(s)

0=25-4s

25 =-4s

25/-4=s

6.25=s

Distance= 6.25m
