Answer:

Total distance = 86 km

Average speed = 43 km/h

Explanation:

Total distance :-

Distance covered by the bus in the first hour :-

Speed = 36 km/h

Time = 1 hour

Distance = Speed * Time

               = 36 * 1

               = 36 km --D1

Distance covered by the bus in the second hour :-

Speed = 50 km/h

Time = 1 hour

Distance = Speed * Time

               = 50 * 1

               = 50 km --D2

Total distance covered by the bus in the two hours :-

D1 + D2

36 km + 50 km

86 km

Average speed :-

Speed in first hour = 36 km/h --S1

Speed in second hour = 50 km/h --S2

Total time = 1 hour + 1 hour

                 = 2 hour --T

Average speed = S1 + S2 / T

                          = 36 + 50 / 2

                          = 86 / 2

                          = 43 km/h

Answer:

Total distance = 86 km

Average speed = 43 km/h

Explanation:

Total distance :-

Distance covered by the bus in the first hour :-

Speed = 36 km/h

Time = 1 hour

Distance = Speed * Time

              = 36 * 1

              = 36 km --D1

Distance covered by the bus in the second hour :-

Speed = 50 km/h

Time = 1 hour

Distance = Speed * Time

              = 50 * 1

              = 50 km --D2

Total distance covered by the bus in the two hours :-

D1 + D2

36 km + 50 km

86 km

Average speed :-

Speed in first hour = 36 km/h --S1

Speed in second hour = 50 km/h --S2

Total time = 1 hour + 1 hour

                = 2 hour --T

Average speed = S1 + S2 / T

                         = 36 + 50 / 2

                         = 86 / 2

                         = 43 km/h
