v = u + at

v = 0

u = - at

a = -u/t = 36*5/9/4

a = -5 m/s^2

- sign shows Retardation

hey mate here is your ans

given u= 36km/hr = 36×5/18 = 10m/s

t= 4sec

v= 0

distance = speed ×time

= 10×4 = 40 m

acceleration = a = v-u/t

a=( 0-10)/4 = -2.5 m/s²

hope it help u
