Given that,

Velocity of bus = 10 m/s

Time = 60 sec

Distance = 1 km

We need to calculate the distance covered by bus

Using formula of distance

d=vt

Where, v = velocity

t = times

Put the value into the formula

d=10\times60

d=600\ m

The distance covered by the motorcyclist is

d'=d+1000

Put the value into the formula

d'=600+1000

d'=1600\ m

We need to calculate the velocity of motor cyclist

Using formula of velocity

v=\dfrac{d}{t}

Put the value into the formula

v=\dfrac{1600}{60}

v=26.6\ m/s

Hence, The velocity of motor cyclist is 26.6 m/s.

Answer:

Given that,

Velocity of bus = 10 m/s

Time = 60 sec

Distance = 1 km

We need to calculate the distance covered by bus

Using formula of distance

d=vtd=vt

Where, v = velocity

t = times

Put the value into the formula

d=10\times60d=10×60

d=600\ md=600 m

The distance covered by the motorcyclist is

d'=d+1000d

=d+1000

Put the value into the formula

d'=600+1000d

=600+1000

d'=1600\ md

=1600 m

We need to calculate the velocity of motor cyclist

Using formula of velocity

v=\dfrac{d}{t}v=

t

d

Put the value into the formula

v=\dfrac{1600}{60}v=

60

1600

v=26.6\ m/sv=26.6 m/s

Hence, The velocity of motor cyclist is 26.6 m/s.
