Answer:

Explanation:

initial velocity (u) = 60 m/s

final velocity (v) = 80 m/s

time = 2 minutes = 120 seconds.

It is important to convert minutes into seconds when the speed are in the form m/s since, second is the SI UNIT of time and m/s is the SI UNIT of speed.

acceleration = (final velocity - initial velocity) / 2

a = (v-u)/120

= (80 - 60)/120

= 20/120

= 1/6 m/s^2 or 0.16 m/s^2

Answer:first convert 2 minutes in seconds so we get 120 seconds,

initial velocity --- 60m/ s

Final velocity --- 80 m/s

a= v - u / t

a = 80 - 60 /120

a = 20 / 120

a = 1 / 6m/s.
