Given :

  • Initial velocity, u = 0 m/s (starting from rest)

  • Acceleration, a = 4 m/s²

  • Time, t = 5 seconds

To find :

  • Distance travelled by the bus, s

According to the question,

By using Newtons second equation of motion,

s = ut + ½ at²

Where,

  • a = Acceleration
  • s = Distance travelled
  • t = Time
  • u = Initial velocity

→ s = 0 × 5 + ½ × 4 × 5 × 5

→ s = 0 + 2 × 25

→ s = 0 + 50

→ s = 50

So,the distance travelled by the bus is 50 m.

u = 0 m/s

a = 4 m/s²

t = 5 s

We know,

s = ut + ½at²

 \therefore s = (0)t = ½at²

 \longrightarrow s = ½at²

 \longrightarrow s = ½(4 m/s²)(5 s)²

 \longrightarrow s = (2 m/s²)(25 s²)

 \longrightarrow s = 50 m (Answer)
