initial distance between the bus and motorcyclist = 1 km = 1000 m
the motorcyclist wants that he should catch the bus in 60 seconds , but since the bus is moving with a velocity the bus will cover some more distance in that 60 seconds
so distance covered by bus in 60 seconds = speed of bus * 60 seconds = 10 * 60 = 600m
that means that the motorcyclist has to cover 1000m + 600 m = 1600 m in 60 seconds
so speed of motor cyclist = distance that it has to cover / time in which it has to cover
= 1600 m / 60 seconds = 80/3 m/s
