Answer:

1/2 (48 - x + 3 ) + 7 = 22

1/2 (48 - x + 3 )        = 15

48 - x + 3                 = 7.5

48 - x                       = 4.5

48 - 4.5                   = x

x                                = 43.5

Answer:

21

Step-by-step explanation:

The bus is travelling with 48 Passengers

At 1st Stop: 48 - x + 3 = 51 - x

At 2nd Stop: [(51-x)/2] + 7

Total Passengers now = 22

According to the given situation:

[(51-x)/2] + 7 = 22

(51-x)/2 = 22 - 7

(51-x)/2 = 15

51 - x = 15 x 2

51 - x = 30

51 - 30 = x

21 = x

The value of x is 21
