Average Speed = Total distance/Total time

total distance = 80km+60km

=140km

total time = 2 hours+30min(0.5hours)+2h

=4.5hours

=140/4.5

=31.1

Answer: 31.1km/h

Answer:

The bus leaves at 8;30 and reaches place B at 10:30. Meaning it took 2 hrs to reach there.

From place B it stops for 30 minutes meaning it started at 11:00 am. It reached place C at 1 pm meaning it took 2hrs.

You find the average by adding both and dividing by the number of times =

60 km + 80km= 140km/2 = 70 km

Therefore the average speed of the bus is 70km/2hrs = 35km per hour.
