Explanation:

Distance: 30km + 30km = 60km

Time : 1hour + 30min = 1.5 hours

Speed = distance/ Time = 60km/1.5hours

60/1.5 x 2 (to divide by whole numbers) = 120km / 3hours

= 40km/h

Answer:

average speed=total distance/total time

here time is in minutes we have change it to seconds

..30 min=30 × 60 sec = 1800 sec

40 min=40 × 60 sec = 2400 sec

distance is in km we have to change it into m

30km=30×1000m=30000m

30km=30×1000m=30000m

now,

average speed= total distance /total time

=(30000+30000) / (1800+2400)

=60000/4200

=14.28m/s
