A bus moves from stop a to stop b with a speed of 40 km per hour and then from stop b to stop a with a speed of 50 kilometre per hour its average speed each​

It’s true, without telling us how long it took to travel from A to B at 30 kmph, there’s no way of telling how far away it is. Seems like someone may be trying to trick you.

The second speed given is also irrelevant, as the distance from A to B is the same as the distance from B to A. In that sense you could say the distance traveled by the car is 2 x the distance from A to B.

If you look at the situation in a different way, then the distance traveled by the car is 0 km, miles, inches…whatever. Because the car ends at its point of origin, the distance traveled from start to finish is nothing.
