In 1hr there are 3600sec
5sec = 1/720hrs
So displacement=v = 72/720
V=1/10km
I.e. V=100m
5sec = 1/720hrs
So displacement=v = 72/720
V=1/10km
I.e. V=100m

displacement being equal to velocity into time only works if th velocity is uniform...here it isnt..

Assuming the bus had a constant retardation after applying the brakes ,
the retardation will be...4 m/(s^2)..using the third equation of motion ,
(v^2) - (u^2) = 2as ,
(0) - (400) = 2(4)s
s = (400)/8 = 50 m
hope I.helped :)
