Using first equation of motion, we know,

v = u + at

Here, u = 72 km/h

Convert it into m/s by multiplying 5/18,

So, we get u = 72 ×5/18 m/s which is 20 m/s

a = 0.5 m/s^2

v = 27 m/s

A/Q,

v = u + at

27 = 20 + 0.5t

27 - 20 = 0.5t

7 = 0.5t

t = 7 ÷ 0.5

t = 14

Hence, it will take 14 seconds for the bus to attain a velocity of 27m/s.
