a bus seems to be travelling slower if we overtake it but the same bus seems to be travelling faster when it is coming from the opposite direction, why?

Explanation:

We are moving in same direction as of bus in case of overtaking, and the speed of bus is relative to us . This means if we are moving at 10 km per hr and bus is moving at 15 km per hr therefore speed of bus relative to us is 5 km per hr an we can easily overtake it as it seems slow.

But when Bus is moving toward us at 15km per hr and we are moving towards it 10 km per hr in opposite direction therefore its relative speed as compared to us is 25 km per hr which 20 km more than our 1st condition and hence it seems faster

HOPE IT HELPS.
