Hello there! Hope i can help you out with this question!

So, as we know that speed and velocity are technically the same except velocity has a direction so here, we can consider the speed as velocity only in order to find out the acceleration.

First let's convert the following values:

  • 1 km = 1000 meters
  • 1 hr = 60 mins,   1 min= 60 seconds
  • 1 hr = 3600 secs

Now, to convert it more easily and faster we can multiply the value simply by 5/18 this is because when converting the value of km/hr into m/s we tend to convert the hours into seconds and kilometers into meters , for example if values x  in km/hr form to convert them we will do this x\\ × \frac{1000}{3600} , and if we simplify 1000/3600 the simplified form will be 5/18 and hence it shall be easier to multiply the values with 5/18 rather than converting each value and then simplifying it.

  • 36km/hr = 36 x \frac{5}{18} = 10m/s
  • 10 mins = 60 x 10 = 600 secs

Finding acceleration of the bus:

a= \frac{v-u}{t}

a= \frac{10 - 0}{600}

a= 0.016m/s^{-2}

HOPE THIS HELPED YOU!
