u=0

t=30s

v= 90km/hr = 25m/s

Use formula:

V=u+at

25= 0+30a

30a=25

a=25/30

a=5/6 = 0.83m/s²

Given :-

Final velocity = 90 km/h

Time taken = 1/2 min

To Find :-

The acceleration of the bus in m/s².

Analysis :-

Substitute the given values in using the first equation of motion.

Then find the acceleration accordingly.

Solution :-

We know that,

  • v = Final velocity
  • a = Acceleration
  • t = Time
  • u = Initial velocity

By the formula,

\underline{\boxed{\sf First \ equation \ of \ motion=v=u+at}}

Given that,

Final velocity (v) = 90 km/h = 25 m/s

Initial velocity (u) = 0 (Starts from rest)

Time taken (t) = 1/2 min = 30 sec

Substituting their values,

25 = 0 + (a)(30)

25 = 30a

a = 25/30

a = 5/6 = 0.83 m/s⁻²

Therefore, the acceleration of the bus is 0.83 m/s⁻².
