a bus started it's journey on the highway at 9:00 am in the morning. The odometer reading showed 14,590 km at that time. The bus reached the next stop at 10:30 am. If the speed of the bus was 60km/h then, what was the odometer reading when the bus reached the next stop?

\boxed{\bf{\colorbox{pink}{solution :--}}}

Speed of the was = 60km/h

Time taken by the bus ⤵️

➡️ 10:30 - 9:00

==> 1.5h

[We know that distance = speed × time.]

♦️60 × 1.5

♦️➡️90km

Then, the odometer reading ⤵️

♦️️ 14,590 + 90

♦️️ ➡️14,680

Total distance travelled = 25118 - 24803 = 315 km

time = 4 hours 40 min = (4 + 2/3 ) hour

average speed = total distance travelled / time

= 315 / (4+2/3) = 315 /( 14 / 3) = 315 × (3 / 14) = 67.5 km/hr
