\fontsize{18}{10}{\textup{\textbf{The number of passengers is 32}}}

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the number of passengers be x when it started

After 1st stop: Number of passengers= x-x/4=3x/4

After 2nd stop= 3x/4-(1/4)*3x/4+14 which is equal to x

=>3x/4-3x/16 + 14=x

=>9x/16+14=x

=>x-9x/16=14

=>7x/16=14

=>x=32

The number of passengers is 32
