Answer :-

v = 12 m/s

s = 720 m

Given :-

u = 0 m/s

a = 0.1 m/s²

t = 2 minutes

= 2 × 60

= 120 s

To find :-

The speed acquired and the distance travelled.

Solution :-

The speed acquired by the body is calculated by using first equation of motion:-

 \huge \boxed{v = u + at}

Put the given value,

 v = 0 + \dfrac{1}{10} \times 120

 v = 12 m/s

hence,

The speed acquired by bus is 12 m/s.

Distance travelled by bus is given by third equation of motion:-

 \huge \boxed{2as = v^2 - u^2}

 2 \times \dfrac{1}{10}\times s = (12)^2 - (0)^2

 \dfrac{s}{5} = 144

 s = 144 \times 5

 s = 720 m

hence,

Distance travelled by bus is 720 m.
