Answer:

12 m/s And 720 m

Explanation:

According to the given question,

u = initial velocity = 0 m/s

a = acceleration = 0.1 m/s^2

t = time = 2 min = 2×60 = 120 sec

v = final velocity = ?

s = displacement = ?

In this question displacement is equal to distance as it's a linear motion. And again it's asking the magnitude of velocity i.e, speed.

We know,

  • v = u+at

Putting the values we get

  • v = 0+ 0.1 × 120

  • v = 12 m/s answer.

Again,

  • s = ut + 1/2 at^2

Putting the values we get,

  • s = 0 + 1/2 ×0.1 × 14400

  • s = 720 m answer.

Thus distance = 720 m and speed is 12 m/s .
