Given that, acceleration (a) = 0.1 m/s² and time (t) = 2 min = 120 sec

We have to find the speed required and the distance travelled by bus.

To find the speed of the bus, we use the first equation of the motion i.e. v = u + at

Bus staring from rest. So, initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s

→ v = u + at

→ v = 0 + (0.1)(120)

→ v = 12 m/s

Now, to find the distance travelled by bus, we use the second equation of the motion i.e. s = ut + 1/2 at²

→ s = ut + 1/2 at²

→ s = 0(120) + 1/2 (0.1)(120)²

→ s = 0 + 1/2 × 1/10 × 120 × 120

→ s = 0 + 720 = 720 m

Therefore,

The speed acquired by the bus is 12 m/s and the distance travelled by bus is 720 m.
