Correct question:-
A bus starting from rest moves with uniform acceleration of 0.1m/s² for 2 minutes.Find : (i)the speed acquired
(ii)the distance travelled
Given:-
→Initial velocity of the bus=0
→Time taken=2 minutes
→Acceleration of the bus=0.1m/s²
To find:-
→Speed/Velocity acquired(Final velocity)
Solution:-
Here,we can see that the time is given in minutes,so we shall firstly convert the time into seconds.
=>1 minute=60 seconds
=>2minutes=2(60)
=>120 seconds
By using the 1st equation of motion,we get:-
=>v=u+at
=>v=0+(0.1)120
=>v=12m/s
Now,by using the 2nd equation of motion,we get:-
=>s=ut+1/2at²
=>s=0×120+1/2×0.1×(120)²
=>s=0.05×120×120
=>s=720m
Thus:-
→Speed acquired by the bus is 12m/s.
→The distance travelled is 720m.
