Answer :-

a) 12m/s

b) 720m

Explanation :-

Given :

Initial velocity of the bus,u => 0m/s

Acceleration,a => 0.1m/s^2

Time taken,t => 2 minutes = 120 s

[1min =60s]

To Find :

a)The speed acquired,s

(b)The distance travelled,s

Solution :

From first equation of motion we get,

\sf{} v= u+at

Put their values and solve it.

\sf{}\implies v = 0+ 0.1\times 120

\sf{}\therefore v = 12m/s

Therefore,speed is equal to 12m/s

From third equation of motion we get,

\sf{} v^2=u^2+2as

\sf{}\implies (12)^2=0+2\times 0.1\times s

\sf{}\implies 144=0.2\times s

\sf{}\implies \dfrac{144}{0.2}= s

\sf{}\therefore s=720m

Therefore,distance is equal to 720m
