Given:-.

  • Initial velocity ,u = 0m/s
  • Acceleration ,a = 0.1m/s²
  • Time taken ,t = 2min

To Find:-

  • Final velocity ,v

Solution:-

According to the Question

It is given that bus starting from rest moves with a uniform acceleration of 0.1 m/s for 2 minutes.

Conversion of unit

time taken 2min = 2×60 = 120s

We have to calculate the final velocity of the bus .

Using 1st equation of motion

  • v = u +at

where,

  • v is the final velocity
  • a is the acceleration
  • u is the initial velocity
  • t is the time taken

Substitute the value we get

→ v = 0 + 0.1 × 120

→ v = 0 + 1 × 12

→ v = 12m/s

  • Hence, the acquired speed (velocity) is 12m/s .

Given :-

A bus starting from rest moves with a uniform acceleration of 0.1 m/s for 2 minutes.

To Find :-

Speed

Solution :-

We know that

1 min = 60 sec

2 min = 120 sec

v = u + at

v = 0 + 0.1 × 120

v = 0 + 12

v = 12

Hence,

The required speed or velocity is 0.2 m/s

Know More

v = u + at

s = ut + ½at²

v² - u² = 2as
