As when a body starts from rest then its Initial Velocity becomes Zero.

Given,

Acceleration (a) = 0.1 m/s^2

time (t) = 2 min = 2 x 60 s = 120 s

Initial Velocity (u) = 0 m/s

In order to find Velocity we will apply First Equation of Motion :-

=> V = u + at

=> V = 0 + 0.1 x 120

=> V = 0 + 12 m/s

=> V = 12 m/s

Again In order to find Distance transversed we will apply third equation of Motion.

=> V^2 = u^2 + 2aS

=> (12)^2 = 0^2 + 2 x 0.1 x S

=> 144 = 0 + 0.2 x S

=> S = 144/0.2 m

=> S = 720 m

aaravshrivastwa: Great elaboration
ayush8769: In my question the two option (a) & (b) you give answer (b) distance only where the (a) speed
Anonymous: speed is also given
