Answer:

(a) velocity/time=acceleration

as we know 1min=60s

2min= 120s

acceleration=0.1m/s2

velocity=acceleration× time

= 0.1×120

= 12m/s= speed

(b) speed=distance/time

distance=speed×time

= 12× 120

=1440 m

Hey Mate,

→ Given Question:-

→ A bus starting from the rest moves with a uniform acceleration of 0.1m/s^2 for 2 min. Find (a) the speed required ,(b) the distance traveled.

To find: -

→  (a) speed required

→  (b) the distance traveled

Answer:-

Equations of motion :-

→ [ v = u + at         ]

→ [  s = ut + 1/2at²]

→ [ v² = u² = 2as ]

→ u = 0

→ a = 0.1m/s

→ t  = 2 min

→ 2 × 60

→ 120s

→ (a)  v = ?

→ v = u + at

→ v = 0+ ( 0.1 × 120)

→ v = 12m/s

The speed is 12m/s.

→ ( b) s = ?

→ s = ut + 1/2 at²

→ ( 0 × t)² + 1/2 × 0.1 r( 20)²

→ 0.1 × ( 20 ) ² / 2 =

→ 720m

The distance travelled is  720m.
