Given :

lnitial velocity, u = 0 m/s

Accerlation, a = 2m/s²

Time, t = 2min = 120s.

To find :

the distance travelled by the bus

Solution :

As we are provided with initial velocity, accerlation and time we can use 2nd equation of motion .i.e.,

{\leadsto{\bf{s = ut +  \dfrac{1}{2}at^{2}  }}}

{\leadsto{\bf{s = (0)(120) +  \dfrac{1}{ \cancel2} \times  \cancel2 \times {120}^{2}  }}}

{\leadsto{\bf{s = (120)^{2}  }}}

{\leadsto{\bf{s =14400 \: m }}}

thus, the distance travelled by the bus is 14400m.

Some more equation of motion :-

1st equation of motion : v = u + at

2nd equation of motion : s = ut + 1/2 at²

3rd equation of motion : v² = u² + 2as
