Given :-

  • A bus starting from rest, moves with uniform acceleration

  • After 10 minutes its speed is 60 Km/h

To Find :-

The speed accqired and Distance traveled.

Solution :-

Converting Final Speed in m/s :-

We Have,

 \text{Final Speed=60 km/h} \\

 = \rm( 60 \times\dfrac{5}{18} ) m/s \\

\red{:\longmapsto \text{Final Speed  = 16.67 \:m/s}}

Converting Time in Seconds :-

We Have,

 \text{Time= 10 mins} \\

 = \rm( 10 \times 60)second \\

\red{:\longmapsto \text{Time  = 600 \:s}}

Here,

  • Initial Velocity = u = 0 m/s

  • Time Taken = t = 600 s

  • Final Velocity = v = 16.67 m/s

 \green\bigstar Let Acceleration of Bus = a m/s²

We Have 1st Equation of Motion as :

\large \bf \red\bigstar \: \: \orange{ \underbrace{ \underline{v = u + at}}} \\

Putting Values In 1st Equation :

:\longmapsto \rm 16.67 = 0 + a \times 600 \\

:\longmapsto \rm 600a = 16.67 \\

:\longmapsto \rm a =  \frac{16.67}{600}  \\

\purple{  \large :\longmapsto  \underline {\boxed{{\bf a = 0.027} }}}

Therefore,

\large\underline{\pink{\underline{\frak{\pmb{   \text Acceleration = 0.03 \: m/s² }}}}}

APPROPRIATE QUESTIONS:-

A bus starting from rest, moves with uniform acceleration.After 10 minutes its speed is 60 Kmph. find it's acceleration

EXPLANATION:-

  • Initial velocity(u)=0 m/s
  • Final velocity(v)=60 kmph=60×5/18→16.67 m/s
  • Time taken(t)=10×60→600 s
  • Acceleration=?

Using 1st equation of motion:-

v=u+at

16.67=0+a600

16.67=600a

a=16.67/600

a=0.027 m/s²

So the acc. is 0.027 m/s²
