Initial Velocity (u) = 0 m/s
Acceleration (a) = 0.1 m/s²
Time (t) = 2 min = 2 × 60 = 120 s
By using 1st equation of motion we get :
⇒ v = u + at
⇒ v = 0 + (0.1)(120)
⇒ v = 0 + 12
⇒ v = 12 m/s
Hence , Speed aquired by bus is 12 m/s.
Now, Apply 3rd equation of motion ,
⇒ v² - u² = 2as
⇒ (12)² - (0)² = 2(0.1)s
⇒ 144 = 2(0.1)s
⇒ 0.1s = 72
⇒ s = 720 m
Hence, Distance traveled by bus is 720 m.
