Answer:

s = 40 m

Explanation:

given,

u = 0 m/s

v = 72 km/h or 20 m/s

to find: s

a = (v - u) / t

a = ( 20 - 0 ) / 4

a = 20 / 4

a = 5 m/s²

using second equation of motion,

s = u * t + ( a * t * t / 2 )\\

s =  a t² / 2 (since u = 0)

s =  5 * 16 / 2  (m / s²)(s²)

s = 5 * 8 m

s = 40 m

Explanation:

u=0m/s

v=72km/hour

=72×5/18 m/sec

=20m/sec

v=u+at

20=0+A4

a=5m/sec square

S(distance)=ut +1/2 at2

S=0×4 + 1/2×5×16

S=40m

Ans is 40 m
