A bus starts from rest and attains a velocity of 36km/h in 5 seconds find theaccelration produced and distance travelled by the bus in these 5 seconds

ANSWER :

Given, u = 0 km/h ( as body starts from rest )

v = 36 km/h

So, to convert km/h to m/s, multiply it by 5/18

Thus, 36 × 5/18 = 10 m/s

t = 5s

So, a = v - u / t

= 30 - 0 / 5

= 10/5

= 2m/s^2

Distance 's' = ut + 1/2 at^2 (II nd equation)

=0 × 5 + 1/ 2 × 2 ×5 × 5

=0 + 25

= 25 m
