Given :

Initial velocity = 0 m/s (as the body is at rest)

Final velocity = 46 m/s

Time taken = 10 secs

What we have to find :

  1. Acceleration of the bus
  2. Distance travelled in 5 and 10 secs.

Answer :

a = (v-u)/t

a = 46/10

a = 4.6 m/s^2

s = ut+1/2 at^2

5 seconds :-

s = 1/2 × 4.6 × 25

s = 57.5 m

10 seconds :-

s = 1/2 × 4.6 × 100

s = 230 m
